ANSWERED PRAYER

I continue to be amazed at God working in my life! Pray and he will answer!
Iam paraphrasing from Max Lucado's book Shaped By God. I was praying about a situation and when I turned the page and read this little story I knew he was answering my prayer. After reading it, i felt a peace about the situation. The first thing i thought of was I Have to Share!

Today I Will Make a Difference

I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences be my masters. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.
I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference.
I will spend time with those I love. A woman can own the world but be poor for the lack of love. A woman can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships
Today I will make a difference.

As if that wasn't answer enough, God knows I have to be hit in the head sometimes to see it, he answered again.

I opened my biblestudy book up tonight and the woman is Rhoda. Never heard of Rhoda. I WANT TO BE RHODA!
Rhoda was the young maid of John Mark's mother. She was a joyous working woman. She worked and served while her mistress and others prayed for Peter's release from prison. Her work was not a burden but a blessing.

Joy is the happy state that results from knowing and serving God. Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and should be evident regardless of the circumstances as stated in Galations and James. Biblical joy is clearly different from earthly happiness. Joy is eternal while happiness is temporary. God wants us to filled with joy.

My greatest witness could be my positive attitude and joyful spirit. Joy is often contagious.

Straight from the book the last thing it says: In the workplace it is important for Christian women to be filled with joy despite circumstances.

THANK YOU GOD FOR ANSWERING MY PRAYER!
