PASS IT ON

I have been meaning to post since Sunday, but you know how that goes. At church Sunday instead of a sermon we got to hear testimony or stories from our Mexico mission team. At first it was a couple of girls basically telling what they did, ate and how hot it was, but a very fulfilling journey. Then a dentist spoke and it was moving to hear of his experience. He told us he really didn't know why he was going on the trip until....
He was communicating with the dentist in this very rural area as to what they would be doing, what tools she had and what they needed. One item she did not have was an autoclave (if you don't know what that is, it is very expensive), she used chemicals. This process takes 12 hours. He knew they would need an autoclave! He started asking around. He was talking to an instrument salesman one day and telling him of his need. The man said I don't know why and I have had it for years but I have a used one in my basement you can have!! He immediately knew why he was going on this trip!! God planned it!
Then his wife spoke, who also went and i really didn't hear her at first because i was thinking and wondering.
I have been listening to God. I see where he is working around me and join in. I think I have made adjustments in my life. I definitely have had a change in my heart. I know He tells you when you are ready but sometimes I wonder. Did I hear him, was I listening, will I know when it is time to open my mouth or keep it shut. There are so many people working for the Lord, giving up their lives, am I being selfish? Surely God will reveal more?!
But then I started listening, she said it was no different over there than it is here.
There was poverty - we have poverty
There were homeless - we have homeless
There were people getting inadequate medical care, we have the same
There are people who don't know about Jesus and his salvation and we have the same.
It is really sad to live in such a rich (moneywise, technology wise, church wise) and have so many people who don't know about our Saviour!
You don't have to be a missionary to be on a mission.
We are on a mission every day! It could be your next door neighbor, co-worker or the cashier at the store.
It could be a smile you give or just in any action at any time, you just never know what effect you might have on someone and get a chance to share the Love of Christ.
We closed with this song and if you really pay attention to the words they are so true. I love this song and have been singing it since the days I went to church camp. But never until this day did it really have this effect on me.

It only takes a spark to get a fire going.

And soon all those around, can warm up in glowing.

That's how it is with God's love,

Once you've experienced it, you spread His love to everyone;

You want to pass it on.

It only takes a spark, that's me! Just spread it around!! Keep it going!!

My wish for you:

I wish for you my friend, this happiness that I've found.
You can depend on Him, it matters not where you're bound.
I'll shout it from the mountain top - PRAISE GOD
I want the world to know; the Lord of love has come to me,
I want to pass it on.

IF EACH OF US PASS IT ON THIS WORLD WILL BE A BETTER PLACE!!
